Greetings Tournament Directors:

CGN is proud to announce Dan Barnes as our Director of Operations. Bringing his experience and extensive knowledge in the hospitality industry, to take CGN to the next level, into the future. The only two components your tournament committee should be focusing on are participants and sponsors. Without those components there is not one charity event that will survive. Sponsor recognition is a crucial part of any charity golf tournament. Understanding this, CGN developed the highest quality tee signs accompanied with a duplicate sign elegantly framed to recognize your tee sponsors at your banquet. With a powder coated steel stake, CGN’s exclusive “Meta-Lock” frame, and custom design/graphics providing maximum sponsor recognition. CGN designs a new fresh look each year that shows your sponsors are respected, well represented, and keep them coming back on a yearly basis. Other specialty services include memorial tribute signs, celebrity signed duplicate tee signs, save the date cards, etc. It is more important than ever to provide your players and sponsors a professional high end charity golf tournament experience. The same sponsors and players who used to participate in 5-10 events have cut back to 2-5 events or less with the. This is vital because when choosing between events they will select the ones that were memorable, where they were treated/represented the best and had the most fun. It is our goal to provide them this experience and give them a different unique look each
year.

Charity Golf Networking (CGN) and owner William Flaharty have been assisting
tournament directors to run high end charity golf tournaments for over fifteen years.

Charity Golf Networking is dedicated to helping all charity golf tournaments looking to improve and benefit their charities.

On the Greetings Tournament Directors. I just want the photo with the golf bag and two signs.  Let’s move the other pic where those generic pics are with my logo. I will be sending a few other pics for this area as well. I need to make sure the green part off my logo doesn’t interfere with the letters on all pages.

Our History:

The Evolution of Charity Golf Networking

The Spark of an Idea

The origins of Charity Golf Networking date back to the year 2000, when founder William Flaharty began his journey in competitive golf. Even in these formative years, William envisioned a future where golf could serve a higher purpose. As he competed in junior and amateur tournaments, his deep-rooted passion for the game was matched by a growing desire to use golf as a vehicle for community engagement and philanthropic impact.

Ascending the Professional Ranks

By 2008, William had established himself as one of the world’s leading junior and amateur golfers. That same year, he transitioned into the professional arena by signing with a premier sports management firm. This phase offered not only exposure to elite-level competition but also a firsthand look into the commercial and corporate aspects of professional sports. It was during this period that William’s understanding of the broader potential of golf—as a platform for connection, branding, and charitable action—truly began to crystallize.

A Defining Turning Point

In 2012, William faced a critical moment in his professional career. While preparing for PGA Tour Qualifying School, he suffered a serious hand injury that forced him to step away from competition. What could have been a devastating setback became a period of introspection, research, and visionary planning. During this time, the foundation for Charity Golf Networking was quietly but intentionally laid. William made the pivotal decision to channel his passion for golf into a purpose-driven initiative that could create lasting social value.

Official Launch of Charity Golf Networking

After years of strategic development and conceptual refinement, Charity Golf Networking officially launched in 2018. William combined his deep experience in professional golf with a sharp understanding of event production, sponsorship management, and nonprofit collaboration. From its very first tournaments, the organization gained recognition for delivering world-class events that seamlessly united sport, strategy, and social impact. The mission was bold and clear: to raise meaningful funds for charitable organizations while offering exceptional experiences to players, sponsors, and guests.

Innovation Through Adversity

Amid the global challenges of 2020 and 2021, Charity Golf Networking not only remained resilient—it redefined what charitable events could look like. Through adaptive strategies such as hybrid event models, safety-first protocols, and elevated digital engagement, CGN expanded its reach and deepened its influence. These innovations allowed more organizations to benefit from dynamic and impactful tournaments, further establishing CGN’s reputation as a forward-thinking leader in philanthropic sports experiences.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward into 2025 and beyond, Charity Golf Networking stands at the forefront of a new era. The organization is scaling its operations nationwide, diversifying event offerings, and integrating emerging technologies to enhance engagement and impact. What began as a personal vision has evolved into a nationally recognized platform for purpose-driven golf events. Under the visionary leadership of William Flaharty, CGN remains deeply committed to excellence, innovation, and, above all, giving back.
